Open Architecture Studio has designed a new contemporary Administration and Resource Centre for Wellers Hill State Primary School. The Administration building will be the new central hub of the school and offers a contemporary frontage and welcoming presence and entry.

The building successfully integrates with the steep level changes throughout the school, and connects with circulation routes, topography and student/teacher daily usage patterns as well as maintains functional relationships between existing levels and classrooms.

The building shape and form interacts with the existing language and form of buildings on the site, while sitting proud on the site and creating a street presence that defines the building as the first point of entry. The building design boasts clear and easy access for campus visitors, students and teachers with clear signage and wayfinding. It will form a junction point of the circulation routes throughout the campus at a master planning level. With student security, supervision and visibility of particular importance at the school campus, the design incorporates separate student and visitor reception areas as well as clear sightlines to all areas within the resource centre.
